Reading · Section 5
8–10 minFive answers, five techniques
Q: TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF. A: I've spent the last five years in product marketing. I'd say my track record is in launching B2B campaigns — I led six in my last role. I bring strong analytical skills to the table, and I'm someone who takes initiative when I see a gap. Q: GREATEST WEAKNESS? A: I used to take on too much. I'm working on delegating — I now run weekly priority reviews with my team. Q: WHY DO YOU WANT THIS ROLE? A: Honestly, I've followed your company for two years. The mission aligns with my values, and the team has a great reputation. Q: WHERE IN 5 YEARS? A: I'd love to be leading a small team, ideally in this organisation. Q: ANY QUESTIONS? A: Two — what does success look like in the first 90 days, and what's the biggest challenge facing the team right now?
Question 1.How is the weakness answered?
Question 2.What does the candidate say about the company?
Question 3.How many questions does the candidate ask back?
Q1.The candidate has 5 years in product marketing.
Q2.They want to leave in 5 years.
Q3.They have no questions for the interviewer.

Interviewer:Could you tell me about a time you worked under pressure?
Candidate:Of course. Last year we had a launch with a two-week deadline. I'd just joined the team — steep learning curve.
Interviewer:What did you do?
Candidate:I took initiative and split the work into three priority tracks. We worked late, but we shipped on time.
Interviewer:And the result?
Candidate:The product hit its first-month target two weeks early. Honestly, I performed best under that pressure.
Interviewer:Great. What would you bring to this role?
Candidate:A track record in fast launches, calm under pressure, and a real team-player mindset.
Question 1.How long was the deadline?
Question 2.What did the candidate do?
Question 3.What was the result?

Task
